KÜSCHALL ANNOUNCES WINNER OF CHAMPION COMPETITION
It was a tough competition with many entries and votes, but küschall is delighted to announce the winner of our Champion for a Champion – Caroline Lewis from Newport. Congratulations!
Caroline’s winning entry describes how her husband is her champion for his constant and unwavering support during their lives together. Born with ‘Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita’, a condition that affects the joints and muscles from birth, Caroline’s mobility is limited. Living in constant pain makes moving around difficult with the added risk of falling.
Here Caroline tells us more about her story;
"My husband is my champion. I was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, affecting my legs and feet. I spent most of my life thinking that using a wheelchair was somehow failing, it became my biggest fear that I would need one. My husband encouraged me to see the opportunities a chair would give me, to be able to get out and about without the pain and tiredness and also reduce the risk of falling and hurting myself. I got my first chair in May 2013 and I've not looked back since. It has changed my life and opened up the outside world to me. I call my chair Wheel.i.am and I could not imagine life without him. My husband made it okay for me to need the chair and that is why he is my champion."
As the winner of our competition, Caroline wins a brand new küschall Champion chair. The chair is lightweight and offers high levels of adjustment to enable the chair to adapt as a person’s condition changes, and with the additional feature of its unique folding frame, means the chair can be easily transported.
At küschall, we hope Caroline can now enjoy all the features and benefits of this chair to gain even more confidence and independence with its frame rigidity and excellent driving performance.
Many congratulations Caroline!
